Excerpts from Change Comes Knocking and dynamic panel discussion at NCSU

North Carolina State University’s Black History Month Event will feature a screening of excerpts from Change Comes Knocking on February 21, 2011 at 4:30pm, in the Poole College of Management Auditorium, Nelson Hall room 3400, located at the corner of Hillsborough Street and Dan Allen Drive. You can find directions and a map here.

Accompanying the screening will be a panel discussion about poverty and race, and the challenges we are currently facing in America. Participating in the conversation will be Ann Atwater, Rubye Gattis and Joyce Nichols, three women who have been fighting for justice and equality for the past 40+ years, and will be moderated by Rebecca Cerese, the producer of the documentary. Additional people may be added. There is visitor parking available in the Dan Allen Deck – they take cash or credit cards.

Change Comes Knocking screening at National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis!

Change Comes Knocking will be screening in Memphis, TN as part of Indie Memphis Freedom Series. We will be screening at 6pm on September 9th, 2010 at the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. The Museum is built around the Lorraine Motel, the very place where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was murdered. Since he was working so vigorously on poverty issues at the time of his death, I am confident that this screening will be one to remember. If you are out in Memphis on the 9th. Please come and join us for this amazing event.
